a little more about us...
When we met in a college psychology class it was like the distinction between reality and childhood dreams had suddenly become very fuzzy...we quickly became best friends and fell fast in love, soon realizing we would spend the rest of our lives together! Now, almost seven years later, we are married and are the parents to a beautiful little boy, Rhitten (see him all over our Instagram and Blog!).
We could never understand why God had given us so many blessings in each other or why we seemed to work so well together. We are that couple that spends every moment we can together and send "I love you" texts to eachother throughout the day. Being best friends has made our marriage an incredible journey of joy and fulfillment...and then we found photography.
When we discovered our passion for photography, we both realized it had always been there but had never really seemed like a realistic dream. We had both always loved shooting with the little cameras we had as kids but had never thought much about a career in photography...until one day we were out experimenting with our new DSLR camera and we just kind of looked at each other and exclaimed, "we can do this!".
Hi!! We're Ashley and Shayne and we're super excited to meet you! We are that crazy couple who, after five years, are still grossing people out with how much we adore eachother! (We know they're just jealous). We believe love lasts. Empowered by Christ to overcome all things, we are passionate partners in everything we do, absolutely OBSESSED with our son Rhittie (and soon, another one!!!), and that is a big part of what makes us LOVE what we do! Let me tell you a little about how it all got started...
What a blessing it has become! We had prayed and longed for a career that we could both share in because we truly enjoy working together and both want to be very active parents in our son's life, and are STILL bewildered by how real this dream has become! Rhitten is the driving force behind our business and is the reason we chose to become wedding photographers. Our strong belief in marriage and the joy we have found in our own marriage has played a big role in our passion to serve others as they are entering this stage of life.
As we have grown into the business and embarked on the long but
exciting learning curve (which we are still, and will always be, on!),
our passion for the art of photography has grown deeper. We have
built our business off of that passion, a commitment to servanthood
and exceeding expectations, and a desire to serve our Lord and
Savior, Jesus Christ. We firmly believe we are called to support and
encourage YOU as you walk through this crazy, beautiful,
unpredictable thing called LIFE. Your wedding and your marriage
MATTERS to us and we believe in serving you with our whole hearts
to bless you in the planning process, during the engagement session,
at your wedding...and in your marriage!!
