We are so thankful that God had us meet this sweet family about four months ago! We instantly connected with them on so many things within the first several minutes of talking. They quickly became such wonderful friends and now we basically consider them family! It’s wild to think that we randomly met one day at Season’s Yield in Raphine, VA (local for us but about 40 minutes away for them) for their Bread Day and Shayne felt led to go up to them and talk to them…and now they are some of our closest friends! It’s been crazy too to see how comfortable even our children have become with them and how much all of our boys love each other! Then we realized it wasn’t all that random but was actually more of a divine appointment! We are SO extremely grateful for this family and thankful that God placed them in our lives.

When Brittney and Brad asked us to photograph their maternity session we, of course, said YES! Brittney is due in early April and so we needed to schedule her maternity session quickly. When she was pregnant with her first son Connor, it was spring time. If you live in Virginia you know what the weather is like here this time of year plus we had so much back-to-back rain, snow, and ice!  There was definitely not going to be any trees or flowers in bloom for this session. HOWEVER, God orchestrated this session so perfectly! He helped us to find the most gorgeous field of tall flowing grasses and rolling hills (Ahhh our favorite!!!) and surprisingly BEAUTIFUL weather!!! The previous weekend was wet, muddy, SO windy and cold! Guys this session was shot in the WINTER and you can’t even tell!! One of our favorite things about photographing is how God ALWAYS blows us away with making the session better than we could even imagine!

We seriously had the BEST time photographing them and we didn’t want their session to end! They are such a beautiful family and it seriously felt like we were just capturing their candid interaction together! Brittney and Brad are the BEST parents to Connor and he just ADORES them and, of course, his little brother! We are over the moon excited for them to be welcoming their sweet second son in just a few short weeks and also get to watch Connor become a BIG brother! We love this sweet little family so much and we are honored we were a part of capturing this precious season that they are in!
