Eeeekkk!!!! We can not begin to tell you how excited we are for this new season in our lives!
Yes, Fall is approaching and we could not be more thrilled! Fall is both of our favorite seasons and we LOVE EVERYTHING there is to do with Fall.
Some of the things we love to do and are excited about doing again this fall season are:

• Being bundled up in layers of fall clothing and hanging out outside as much as we possibly can, with of course coffee in hand!
  Shayne is a huge coffee drinker and even though he can drink hot coffee on the hottest day of the year.. I am very excited to switch from my daily ice chai lattes to my hot BREVE chai lattes! I am so excited for fall that Shayne surprised me with two new fall tops the other day!
• Going to apple orchards! (There is nothing quite like biting into a fresh apple that you just picked off a tree yourself!)
  This year we get to take Rhitten for his first time. (It’s so hard to believe that last time we went he was still in my belly.)
• Going to the pumpkin patch!!! Riding on hay wagons and getting lost in corn mazes! 
  Shayne and I are still kids at heart and we love going on adventures as best friends….BUT this year our little amigo will be with us and it’s going to be 100X better!
• Going to the zoo!!!
  This is one of my all time favorite things to do…regardless of the time of year! I have such a heart and love for animals and Rhitten has started to develop the same type of love! We were walking through downtown Charlottesville the other night and he literally was trying to get out of my arms as he held out his arms toward every dog we passed. His face lit up, eyes got big, and his mouth dropped open! Of course the dog owners couldn’t stand how cute he was about seeing the dogs so they of course let him pet them. At one point we walked away from petting this HUGE white dog and Rhitten started crying…he rarely ever cries. There were real tears and he was heartbroken! I can not wait til we are able to get that boy a dog….and I can not wait to see his face light up when we go to the zoo!
• Having our home overwhelmed with fall smells! 
  One of my favorites is the apple pumpkin! Ahh I can almost smell it as I’m typing. I used to work at Bed, Bath, & Beyond several years ago and boy nothing ever got done once we got our fall candles in!
• LEAVES!
  From the time they start changing color on the trees, to when they fall off the trees and you get to make a big pile and run and jump into them! I can not wait to create these memories with Rhitten and teach him how to leaf crunch like a pro.
• FALL RAIN! 
  The smell after a fall rain is the BEST thing EVER!
• Evenings on the mountain top!
  This has to be one of my favorite things to do! During the fall evenings Shayne and I will heat up some apple cider on the stove, put in some spices, and put it in a big thermos. We bundle up in lots of layers, pack the car with blankets and a guitar and we go up on the mountain to watch the sunset, play music, pray and worship the Lord as we are in awe at His creation.

  So of course I can go on and on about all the different things we love about Fall but not only are we excited for the Fall season we are also very excited about the new season and things happening in our lives as photographers!

  As you all may already know from previous blog posts, Shayne and I love to continue to educate ourselves. It’s amazing the results we have seen so far in our work by just researching, connecting with other photographers, watching videos, tuning in for live webinars given from top notch photographers in the industry….While free education is so awesome and rewarding..

  Shayne and I decided to make the BEST investment we possibly could for our business and for our clients by paying for a course taught by the one and only Katelyn James!!!! Shayne and I are on cloud 9 right now that God has provided a way for us to continue to grow and better ourselves through such an amazing resource. The course is a 6 week course and starts on MONDAY September 12th!!!! The best part is…the class hasn’t even started yet and we already are receiving homework and awesome material that is going to be life changing! Katelyn James is always OVER-delivering!!! Ahhh we are pumped and can not wait to apply what we learn into our work to be the best we can for you guys!

  We are also very excited to let you guys know that Shayne and I will be offering FALL SESSIONS in OCTOBER!!!! We will be posting details soon so please stay tuned!
